First Time Shooters and New Gun Owners

2 Hour Course (8 Slots Available)

Courses are from 6pm to 8pm for $50 *Note: This course is all inclusive includes gun, ammo, eye, and hearing protection

Sheriff Irwin Carmichael will teach First Time Shooters and New Gun Owners a 2-hour ($50) course that will teach you the skills for safe gun handling and shooting. Great for beginners and first-time gun owners or anyone thinking of purchasing their first handgun. The class is held at Irwin Carmichael’s Martial Arts Training Institute from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on the schedule day. This course is “ALL INCLUSIVE” which we will include gun, ammo, eye, and hearing protection. The only thing you need to bring is your desire to learn and train.

• Safe Handling—The first place to start, even before you buy your first firearm
• Revolvers and Semi Automatic Handguns
• Ammunition Types
• Basic Care & Maintenance
• Skills Building—Grip, sight alignment and trigger control for new shooters, holster draw, reloading and so much more as you advance.
• An educational introduction to the safe and recreational use of a handgun
• A clear understanding of the local requirements for owning and purchasing a long gun or handgun
• A chance to give shooting a try!
• Individual and group training
